Frogmind is a game studio in Helsinki, Finland, operating independently in a long-term partnership with Supercell. The studio was founded in April 2012. Frogmind aims for developing and self-publishing the best possible game experiences with high production values by small, talented independent teams. We are 100% game developers with no managers.
Frogmind’s first title, BADLAND, was developed by two of us and was released in App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch in April 4, 2013. BADLAND has won several awards such as Apple Design Award, Apple iPad Game of the Year and IMGA – Best Game. On June 2016, BADLAND had been downloaded more than 40 million times across all the mobile platforms – iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry World – and console platforms on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U and Steam for PC/Mac/Linux. In December 2015, BADLAND’s sequel, BADLAND 2 was released on iOS App Store and in September 2016 on Google Play. The game was created by three developers and continued the success of the first BADLAND.
In September 2016 Frogmind entered into a long-term partnership with the world’s most successful mobile developer Supercell. The partnership allows us to be more ambitious than ever while still keep our independency and our Frogmind DNA. Supercell owns 51% stake in the company while 49% is owned by all our current and future employees.
