Privacy Policy for Badland+ and Badland Party

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to BADLAND+ and Badland Party (hereinafter “The Game”) available via Apple Arcade (collectively referred to as the “Service”) on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. This Privacy Policy is specific to the Game.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting personally identifiable information (“PII”) you may provide through the use of The Game. This page informs you of our privacy policy regarding our collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use the Service and the Game. By using the Service and the Game, you agree to this policy

TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED AND USE OF DATA

The Game stores game data so that you can continue The Game from where you left in a previous game session. This information contains data such as level progress, scores and gameplay related statistics such as number of deaths and playtime (hereinafter “Session Game Data“), as well as information about The Game’s default language, audio settings, and graphical options (hereinafter “Settings Data“). Settings Data is always stored only locally to your device. You can choose to share Session Game Data with your other devices through Apple’s Game Center and iCloud.

If you choose to connect to Game Center and iCloud, The Game associates Session Game Data with your Game Center ID. This Session Game Data will be uploaded to your private iCloud account during gameplay, which enables you to continue playing The Game on different devices that have been logged into the same iCloud and Game Center accounts. Associating Session Game Data with Game Center IDs also allows multiple players to use the same device with their own save games.

The Session Game Data that The Game uploads to your iCloud account is only available to you. More specifically, none of this data is available to Frogmind Oy.

If you are using Game Center, The Game also sends your Achievements and Leaderboard high scores to Game Center.

When you use the Game we collect information about your device such as the Game Center ID as persistent identifiers in connection with your iCloud Game saves and in connection with Game Center Leaderboards and Achievements. Such data is saved to your device and is transmitted to, and maintained by Apple. Please refer to Apple’s documentation for information on how Apple stores its customers’ iCloud and Game Center data.

While the Game does collect some limited PII, as described above (including your Game Center ID that is associated with Session Game Data), no such data is stored on our servers, shared by us with any third parties other than Apple, and such data is used only for the purposes of support for the internal operations of the Game and Service as set forth in the exception to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (“COPPA”) at 16 C.F.R. 312.2. Furthermore, such data collection and use is collected with a Legitimate Interest as set forth in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). No other personal information is collected or transmitted by the Game. Please refer to Game Center T&C and Apple Privacy Policy for additional terms related to Apple services.

OPTING OUT OF DATA COLLECTION

You may decline to store data in iCloud or to send data to Game Center. To turn off iCloud data storage, you must turn off iCloud in Apple Settings for The Game.

To stop sending data to Game Center, you must sign out of Game Center in Apple Settings. As a result, you will only be able to play in offline mode and you will not appear in The Game’s Leaderboards.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page on our website at: https://frogmind.com/privacy_policy_apple_arcade/. We will also update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. Your continued use of the Game after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
